Opening movie files using a Mac

I can't get my torrent file for the Mighty Boosh to open. it says in QuickTime player "not a movie file." Please can someone point me to some help? I'm using Azureus and extrnal tracker.

you probably don't' have the codec's to play the video try VLC or perian,

probably should list the type of file it is too, to ensure it is...actually a movie file.
